Nowadays companies may use social networks such as Facebook, MySpace or Twitter to improve their business. However, these networks can help the business grow, but also they may damage the firm’s image. This is what has happened to British Airlines and Virgin Atlantic who have seen how their own employees tag their clients as tacky and filthy even though they already had taken steps to avoid these situations. Specialists contend that whatever is said on these networks may be exaggerated and spread out so these firms should definitely be more cautious.
