Social networks like Facebook and MySpace have had great success during last years thanks to Internet. Big companies such as British Airways (BA) and Virgin Atlantic have used this new “channel of promotion” to get their messages to a broader audience.

At this newspaper article we are able to see how sometimes this can be a disastrous action for the company. Last 31st October 13 cabin crew members of Virgin Airlines were fired for posting derogatory comments about their passengers on Facebook forums. They also talked nonsense about safety standards and gave enough reasons to Virgin Airlines to fire them. On the other hand, British Airways had as well problems with his employees and started investigating them.

This type of news give us the possibility to think how some well decision making can sometimes be worse for the company if his employee’s aren’t satisfied with them.
