His reaction to the crisis was one of the best organised and effective. The economic crisis was spreading globally. It was going to affect dupont company. Chad holliday had a meeting with the company’s six top leaders to see what should be done. He wanted to know how bad the recession was, the grade of the crisis and like it could affect to the company; the answer he got were not to appealing, the crisis was expanding and loans were shutting down leaving companies.

Chad holliday chose a plan to try to solve the problems, this plan improve the corporate crisis plan that instantly bring together dupont’s senior managers to appraise the cause of the crisis and puto the appropriate solution.The plan contein 17 teams, which were reduced then to 9 to ensure dupont’s viability.After few days, every employee in dupont had had a meeting with a manager to explain what things he or she could do to help to conserve cash and reduce cost. But holliday thought that people still didn’t grasp the urgency with which they needed to be acting.

Holliday together with his CEO and CFO (chief financial officer) with a team formed by 3 people looks for the necessary measures. among the measures they decided to reduce the expenses; for it they decided that the fastest way to save the most cash was to cut back on the over 20,000 outside contractor the company had hired. Fortunately Dupont’s reaction took place in under six weeks. Holliday says that the inflationary tends that precedes to the financial coalition will reassert.
